Venice, by Bernardo Giunti, 1592, in 4°. Full parchment binding and red tag with gold title. Black edges and coat of arms on the title page. Engraved headpieces, decorations and initials. The book is accompanied by numerous engraved plates. Notes in brown ink in the margin. Restorations, burnishing, intervention at M4 in the text. Pagination errors: page 537 numbered 535, pages 545-547 numbered 537-539.
In 1584, Giovanni Andrea dell'Anguillara published an edition of Ovid's works, enriched by engravings by Giacomo Franco. In 1592 Giunti republished the text, dedicating it to the King of France and modifying the frontispiece and the dedication letter, maintaining the date of 1583. The illustrations were copied and reused, with some modifications to the woodcut borders.
