Specialist Notes
In 1584, Giovanni Andrea dell'Anguillara published an edition of Ovid's works, enriched by engravings by Giacomo Franco. In 1592 Giunti republished the text, dedicating it to the King of France and modifying the frontispiece and the dedication letter, maintaining the date of 1583. The illustrations were copied and reused, with some modifications to the woodcut borders.
