Double-page woodcut depicting the site of Hell, 2 full-page with the circles of Hell and Purgatory and on the back of the last page the brand used by Alessandro Paganino in the Benacenses editions, beautiful Venetian binding in dark leather with dry frames and gold decorations. Ownership note on the title page, Felicis Sabilij.

Specialist Notes

Second edition following the one issued in 24° by Paganini's presses after the transfer to Toscolano, near Lake Garda. The plates derive from the Aldine edition of 1515. Mambelli, n. 21; Adams D, 91; Sander 2318.
