Specialist Notes

SUMPTUOUS EXAMPLE OF THE "NASONE" EDITION

The famous edition of Sansovino, also called “Edizione del Nasone” for the imposing portrait, and the first to print together the comments of Landino and Vellutello. The woodcuts are those used for the Marcolini edition of 1544, but the portrait was printed for the first time in this edition.
