Printer's device on the title page, portrait of Dante in medallion on a4v paper, woodcut initials and decorations, three full-page plates opening the canticles, reglée copy, delicate restorations on the first leaf, burnishing, very elegant contemporary Lyon binding with triple dry frame on the boards, other gilded frames enclosing floral motifs and palmettes, 5 raised bands on the spine enclosing six compartments decorated with Aldine leaves, peeling and abrasions especially on the spine, overall the binding is in good condition.
