P.) to Count Camillo Capponi, some papers slightly browned, contemporary hardback binding, slight defects. Membership signature on the backplate.
Specialist Notes
First Italian translation of this work published in Latin in Frankfurt in 1742, translated into English in 1743 or 1744 by John Campbell, who added numerous observations. Curious and very interesting treatise on medicine and hermetic philosophy which aims to teach the method of prolonging life up to 150 years ''per anhelitumpuellarum'' (as the Latin title states). Cohausen was a German doctor, born in Hildesheim in 1665 and died in 1750, author of other curious medical works, including the famous ''Dissertatio satyrica. de pica nasi''.
