Frullone cruscante on the title page, engraving heads and ends, splendid binding in full red morocco mosaic with a depiction of a grape shoot in green, brown and purple on the plates, frame with 5 golden fillets inside the pastedown. Ex libris by Piero Andrea Forzoni Accolti (1639-1719), under the buttonhole the handwritten indication: "Donato dall'Autore".
Splendid example of this classic Ditirambo, Redi's masterpiece. Here in an example of dedication donated by the author to the arcade poet Piero Andrea Forzoni Accolti. He was Secretary of the Latin letters of Cardinal Francesco Maria de' Medici in Rome and then of Cosimo III; grand ducal chamber assistant. Member of Arcadia (1691) and of the Florentine Academy, of which he was consul in 1708. Academician of the Crusca since 1682, with the academic name of Sincero.
