Information

Beautiful fifteenth-century parchment, 475 x 360 mm., two holes in the upper part and marginal reddening, humanistic writing from the fifteenth century, Hispanic elements such as 'eligindo' and Latin words such as ibidem, it is a transitional vernacular with specific legal vocabulary, document drawn up by the notary Nicolo Bertello, signed in Palmar de Troya (Seville) in 1464, Governor Ferdinand.

Specialist Notes

Ramundus Lombardi wants to have ownership of some lands notified to him, his family and their successors. These lands belonged to the church of Santa Maria di Troya which donated them to him, but kept the ownership of the house connected to it for itself. It recalls a vassal-beneficiary relationship, in fact it is sworn several times throughout the document, but with the hereditary element typical of the end of this phenomenon.
