In 8°, 3 parts in one volume, pp. 184;114 (misnumbered 104); 88-XII with 8 statistical tables folded out of the text which provide a retrospective statistical look on the social positions of the inhabitants in the various eras and on the governmental and legislative system of the Two Sicilies and a large geographical map of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies (45x55 cm) enclosed in a frame with architectural motifs with the family tree of the Bourbons and the portraits of the Kings of Naples from Philip V to Francis I, above view of Naples. Contemporary half-leather binding, cords, gold title on the spine. Sporadic redness.

Original edition. Benedetto Cantalupo (1802 - 1879) magistrate and economist of the Bourbon faith, in consideration of the services rendered to the crown with his scientific work, was first appointed judge and then Royal Prosecutor and was also authorized to hold a chair in public law "wherever his residence was ". Among his numerous writings, one of the most important "The principles..." republished in 1855, is a profound and effective political, administrative, economic and financial analysis of the work carried out by the Bourbon government in its internal relations and with foreign states. Very rare original edition.
