Venice, Giovanni Emerico di Spira [Lucantonio Giunta], 1495. In 8°. [150] cc. Title page in red ink, typographical mark with lily and initials L A, woodcut illustrations in the text, two-column text, gothic font, paper s1 partially detached, worm hole in the last installments, some light marginal foxing, some light reddening, parchment binding , handwritten title on the spine. Handwritten notes on the flyleaf, abraded ownership note on the title page.

Rare. Antonino Pierozzi, also known as San Antonino da Firenze, was an archbishop and man of letters. Born in 1389, he became a Dominican friar and stood out for his moral integrity and devotion. In 1446 he was appointed archbishop of Florence, where he dedicated himself to the spiritual and material well-being of his faithful, promoting social justice and helping the poor. He also became involved in political matters, trying to mediate between the city's rival factions. He died in 1459 and was canonized in 1523 by Pope Adrian VI.
