Specialist Notes

Domenico Delli Santi (Barletta, 3 January 1879 – Rome, 2 November 1951), administrative lawyer, was Commissioner delegated to the Presidency of the INU [National Institute of Urban Planning], indicated by the provisional Board of Directors, from 1944 to 1948 .
Vice Prefect available to the Prefect of Turin for assignment to that Municipal Administration. Appointed 2nd class prefect on 16 December 1926, he was Royal Commissioner of the Municipality of Palermo from April to August 1925 and Inspector General in Alto Adige. And finally General Secretary of the Governorate of Rome (December 1926 – October 1928). And it is in this capacity that the present visit to Bari, in December 1927, takes place. The album opens with a large statuary photo of Mussolini, one of Delli Santi in full uniform, and followed by splendid images of the city of Bari, from the Government Palace where the meeting was held, to other squares, glimpses of the Port, industrial structures, until lingering on the inevitable reception with illustrious guests.
A rare and unpublished photographic document.
