Specialist Notes

FINE EDITION IN WORKING COPY, widely used by doctors.

The text was prepared by Giovanni Battista Egnazio, who had resumed working for the Aldine printing house after an absence for over a decade. The source of the text was a manuscript belonging to Ercole Gonzaga, the dedicatee, which contained both Celsus and Serenus, hence the presence of both texts in this volume.
