In Naples, Ex Officina Horatji Salviani, After Gio. Giacomo Carlino, & Antonio Pace, 1592. 4th, large typographical mark on the title page, 32 cc. no. - 84 - 148 - 60 cc. num., with 300 illustrations engraved on copper n.t. Slight blooms. Contemporary binding in soft parchment. Ex libris on the title page. The work, dedicated to the scholar Giovan Battista Crispo, is divided into three parts: In the first part it deals with how to "do the feat", in the second about hieroglyphics, symbols and mystical things, in the third it deals with "figuring the emblems of many natural things". See Cicognara: "In this volume there are 300 small plates carved in wood with great grace and the illustrations exhaust the material with order and clarity".
