Venice, Giovan Battista Pasquali, 1740-'46. In 4th. 6 vols. out of 7 (no. 2 is missing). Title page in red and black to the first volume, typographical brand with motto on cartouche, repeated in the following ones, woodcut drop caps and headers, hundreds of illustrations engraved on copper folded outside the text, slight defects, contemporary binding in rigid parchment, blue spray cuts. Handwritten ownership note on the title page by Antonio Soliani Raschini; ex libris on the backplate by Andrea Molza.
Specialist Notes
Collection in which the documents of the University of Leipzig appear. These are mainly scientific works that saw the light between 1682 and 1740. Among these we find the writings of the most famous scientists of the time on astronomy, medicine, mathematics, botany, optics, meteorology. Lot not subject to return.
