Interesting work that tells, also with anecdotes, often witty, through the biographies of its most illustrious characters, the history of the Bourbon dynasty, which for many centuries had a considerable influence on the political and economic life of Europe. The work is divided into two parts: the first embraces all the princes of the House of Bourbon, from Henry IV, who was its progenitor, up to the advent of Henry IV to the throne; the second part, the largest, occupies three volumes and includes the other principles that followed up to 1790.
