London, Griffith and Farran, 1884. In small 4th. Illustrated frontispiece and title page, with 12 full-page plates of black and white illustrations, each for each month of the year, numerous illustrations in the text, some handwritten annotations, some light foxing, a slight drop of water in the inner margin of a few pages , one slightly loose issue, red cloth binding with gilt embossed illustration and title, yellow edges, slightly loose front plate, slight defects. On the flyleaf photographic portrait pasted and handwritten dedication dated 06/27/1885, ownership signature on the title page.
