Specialist Notes
In 1799, after Francesco Nocetti was removed, the chair of Botany and the direction of the Botanical Garden passed to the Dominican Domenico Nocca (1758-1841), a disciple of Scopoli, who was director of the Botanical Garden of Pavia from 1799. At the same time he taught botany until 1826.
