Original edition of this important work by the famous German doctor and surgeon (Erfurt 1695 - Wittemberg 1782), divided into three parts, the first contains 11 dissertations, the second 13 exercises on various branches of medicine, including very interesting ones on Peruvian bark, on the abuse of tobacco and on poisonous plants, etc.; the third includes 9 medical and philosophical dissertations including a dissertation on the cult of Isis among the ancient German peoples, two letters on anthrax and smallpox and a medical-critical comment on the anatomy book of Hippocrates with the Greek text and the facing Latin translation.
