Edition by Cavalier Giuseppe Battagia of one of the 12 drawings made in 1766 by Canaletto on commission from Lodovico Furlanetto, a print merchant, to celebrate the ducal festivals which took place in Venice in 1763, following the election of Doge Alvise IV Mocenigo. The drawings were so successful that they were republished first by Teodoro Viero and then by Battagia and Francesco Guardi made oil reproductions of them.
