Second in-8 edition of the Latin Bible given by Robert Estienne, after that of 1534. This edition of the Bible, in which another translation from the Hebrew is printed – that of Zurich, given by Leo of Judah and Theodor Bibliander – compared to the Vulgate, was considered by the theological faculty of Paris as an attack on the authority of the Vulgate.
