Apollonius of Rhodes was a Greek poet born in Alexandria in Egypt inthe 3rd century BC. famous for the Argonautica, the epic that narrates the adventures of the Argonauts heroes in search of the Golden Fleece with a narrative style full of vivid details and romantic elements nourished by a deep knowledge of Greek myths.
