Specialist Notes

FIRST EDITION, A SUPERB SPECIMEN.
A massive history of the ancient world, detailed and complete. Many of the sources cited, and from which the entries in this work have been translated or taken, would suggest that they appeared here in English for the first time.

< p>The "original authors" include George Sale, George Psalmanazar, Archibald Bower, John Campbell, John Swinton, etc. With engraved maps, plates (many of architectural subjects) and genealogical charts by E. Bowen, C. Grignion, Blundell, James Basire, J. Clark and others.
