Specialist Notes
Marchi had already signed the Manifesto of Futurist - Dynamic Architecture in 1920 and in 1922 the Bragaglia art house hosted the exhibition Marchi Futurist Architect. The Livorno-born architect is inspired by the ideal of a dynamic architecture which prefers obliquity, eccentricity, polycentricity and an infinity of curves to the prevalence of the horizontal and vertical. The architecture proposed by Marchi is not only dynamic but 'infinitely expansive'. Among the chapters: The Futurist architecture of the Bragaglia art house in Rome; Futurist architecture of furniture, theater and cinematographic application; the problem of futurist architecture; Architecture poetry etc.
