s.l.n.d. In 4th. Imtaken of the Knights of Malta engraved in wood on the title, illustrated drop caps, plate engraved with the view of the Tripoli enterprise on paper*, the name of the curator G. B. Tebaldi on a2r paper, study annotations in pencil on the front pastedown and on the sheet of endpaper, slight gap in the lower margin of sheet no. 60, rear parchment binding, slight defects.

RARE ORIGINAL EDITION, edited by the scholar Giovanni Battista Tebaldi who signed the preface on 3 March 1566. The work is the chronicle of the siege and conquest of Tripoli obtained by the Christians and the capture of Malta by the Turks.
