"A very beautiful edition and the rarest of the editions of Tasso made by Bodoni» (Brooks); from Giani we also learn that ''100 copies were printed which were soon sold''). The accuracy of the lesson of this edition, among the masterpieces of the great typographer of Saluzzo, is due to the patient study of Pierantonio Serassi, who ''claimed to have made use of pen emendations left by Tasso for these impressions'' (Gamba 949).
Brooks 562. De Lama II, p. 100 (''seriously errs in the number of cards''). Tassiana Bergamo registered office no. 311. Giani n.62. Mingardi-Farinelli, n.63: ''Bodoni's masterpiece...the rarest of the Tasso editions he printed''.
