Venice, Bernardino de Bindoni Milanese, 1544. In 8°. Wooden drop cap at the beginning of each of the 23 sermons and two dedications, splendid binding in blond morocco with rich gold decorations on the boards and on the spine, gilt edges and emboss.

First and only edition, rare, which collects 23 sermons edited by the disciple of Savonarola, friar Stefano da Codiponte.

These dates [.] tell by themselves the enormous importance of this preaching; if we consider that among them is the expulsion of the Medici, the rebellion of Pisa, the entry of Charles VIII into Florence. "These sermons were held in the cathedral from 1 November 1494 to the whole of Advent, still partly on verses from Genesis, partly, from the XIV sermon, on the prophet Haggai, whose passages lent themselves very well to the political moment".
