Edition printed in only 300 copies. First French translation of Bandello's work, published for the first time in 1554. There are twenty-one stories, preceded by the translation of Bandello's life written by Giammaria Mazzucchelli, who formed the basis for many European literary works, in particular for "Romeo and Juliet" and "Much Ado About Nothing" by William Skakespeare.
