Specialist Notes

Beautiful and rare illustrated edition of the works of Lodovico Ariosto. The first forty-six cantos of the famous chivalric poem are included in the first volume. The last five cantos "that follow the matter" of the Furioso are, however, printed in the second volume, together with other works by the author: seven comedies, two in prose, five in verse, a letter to Bembo, the Rhymes, the Erbolato, satires and poems in Latin.
