Paris, [1869]. In 2° Imperiale (556 x 405 mm.), two parts in one volume. 17 lithographed plates, 13 of which partly printed in color and finished by hand, by E. Ciceri, F. Benoit and others after Riou, Tied with. Fontaine (Marius) Voyage Pittoresque à travers l'Isthme de Suez, Paris, Paul Dupont & E. Lachaud, [1870]. Map and 20 lithographed plates printed in color, by E. Ciceri da Riou. Splendid perhaps editorial binding in red leather with gold decorations on the plates.

First edition of the chronicle of the elaborate festivities for the inauguration of the Suez Canal (Qanat al-Suwais), inaugurated in November 1869 after ten years of construction work.
