Bologna, Zecchi, 1841. Oblong album with 112 numbered and captioned plates engraved in aquatint, slight foxing, small gap in the white margin of t. 68, restoration on the last page, binding of the century. XX in half parchment and decorated paper. Ex libris on the flyleaf.
Rare collection of plates on garden design ranging from the description of the architecture of the gardens to the "accessories" for them such as kiosks, mills, gates, etc. Among the images, some are signed by Alessandro Gherardesca (1779-1852), architect and engineer among the main promoters of the neo-Gothic style in Italy.
