Florence, Bartolomeo Sermartelli, 1603 [1602 on the colophon]. In 4th. Typographic brand on the title page, initials engraved in wood, at the end of the volume 3 cc. [of 5] of which 2 with movable figures, first leaves slightly damaged, gap on leaves 3B2-3B8; 3R4-3S2 compensated for by manuscript intervention, 3S2-3 detached, water stains, woodworm work on some files, some gaps on the plates, water stains and restorations, coeval parchment binding, handwritten title on the spine, minor defects. Ownership signature on title page, handwritten notes on flyleaf.

Rare first edition work by the physician and philosopher Francesco Buonamici (Florence, 1533 - Orticaia, 29 September 1603) who was one of Galileo's teachers at the University of Pisa.
