Information
Milan, Futurist editions of "Poesia", 1912. In 8th, pp. (8)-82. Coeval Varese hardcover. Autograph dedication by Marinetti "to his futurist friend" Tommaso Palamenghi Crispi. Minor flaws.
Specialist Notes
First volume edition in French. The text of the poem is preceded by the manifesto «Pour la guerre, seule hygiène du monde et seule morale éducatrice» and followed by the two «Réponses aux canards turcs». "La Bataille de Tripoli" is a collection of elzeviri, or rather of poetic reportages from the war in Libya. Written in 1911 in French, the texts were published daily from 25 to 31 December by the Parisian newspaper L'Intransigeant, and only later collected in a volume of Marinetti's editions of Poesia futurista.
