Account of the celebrations held in Brescia in 1762 in honor of the elevation to cardinal of Giovanni Molini (1705-1773), Bishop of Brescia. The text describes the lighting of the city, the ball held at Palazzo Molino in Venice, the triumphal arches erected throughout Brescia, a celebration at the Collegio and the lighting of the grand staircase of the monastery of Santa Chiara and includes sonnets written by local poets in homage to the Cardinal. The celebration was designed by the local architect, painter and priest Gaspare Turbino, and the two engraved plates illustrate the staircase of the monastery illuminated for the occasion and the stage of the Teatro del Collegio richly decorated with statues and arches.
