Precious work dedicated to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, founded in the fifth century. The iconographic apparatus is full of elegant tables engraved on copper and finely worked. The imposing title page, in particular, is inscribed within a border consisting of 11 vignettes engraved on copper, & nbsp; in the background of the title, central vignette depicting the liberation of Rome from the plague. & nbsp;
