Specialist Notes
Two interesting albums by the famous Italian-German photographer Giorgio Sommer (1834-1914), who was appointed official photographer of King Vittorio Emanuele II of Italy. These are photos of landscapes of Naples and its surroundings and scenes of everyday life. These costumed scenes were actually painstakingly built in the studio due to the long take-over times.
