Specialist Notes

Baffo est sans contredit le poète le plus expressif du xviiie siècle italien & nbsp; (Apollinaire)

Extensive manuscript corpus of over 500 poems (a modern hand indicates 520), which begin with the preemial Sonnet on pg. 1, "Mi dedicico ste mie composizion ...", and ends on p.530 with the Epitaph in death of autor , "Baffum. Qui in penetrandis, celebrandisque ...". In between the entire virtuosic repertoire of the famous singer of the Mona.
Misunderstandings and prejudices have always clouded the literary memory of Giorgio Baffo, the greatest priapic poet according to the judgment of an exalted Apollinaire who only Pasolini recovered in the Novecento ( Now only poetry has the right to innocence , Il Tempo, November 1, 1974) .. He, and an unexpected Piero Chiara, editor of the only modern edition released in 2017 for the types of SE. His contemporaries adored him, first of all Casanova who judged him "a poet in the most lewd of genres", but "great without equal". Dialectal for a choice of absolute truth and authenticity, it has recently been accompanied in the judgment to Porta and Belli.
This code is revealed as an interesting discovery; probably comes from the same Baffo family for the Querini branch (the mother was a Querini), certainly the autograph on the counter plate testifies to a very close provenance to the author. His verses were written on simple loose sheets, kept in his pocket, or even transcribed from his hands-free voice by his friends, who would thus save and pass on their memory. The presence of innumerable corrections in the text, often implemented by applying leaflets to the underlying text, denote a philologically mature will that could perhaps be ascribed to an editorial editor: the same compositions have reference numbering, so perhaps this copy was used as a text basis of a printed edition. Hence its high level of textual reliability.
A manuscript to be studied. & Nbsp; & nbsp;
