Rare EDITION & nbsp; divided into 3 parts and dedicated to plants that came from America and acclimatized in Rome, written by the Lazio priest Filippo Luigi Gigli and the Argentine Jesuit Gaspar Juárez and illustrated by Father Maioli & nbsp; Written by the Italian naturalist, ecclesiastical and Director of the Vatican Observatory, Filippo Luigi Gilii and his friend, the Argentine botanist Gaspar Xuarez, it is an important and rare work "on the value of American (especially South American) cultivated plants, on their sexuality, form of reproduction, anatomy, etc. Most of the plants had been cultivated by the natives before the discovery of America and some were grown in the Vatican gardens ... it was the co-author of the Phytological Observations of Filippo Luigi Gilii that brought it to the attention of Ruiz and Pavon and earned him such a compared to their eyes that dedicated the genus Gilia to him "(Biographies of scientists and explorers honored in the names of plants).
