With numerous illustrations and plates outside the text, in the pocket on the counterplate 8 loose plates in phototype of landscapes and geographical maps, light blooms, coeval binding in half parchment and red chagrin, author and title stamped in gold within gusset on the back, slight defects, small lack of the gusset. § Together in the lot Tucci, Giuseppe .; Ghersi, Eugenio. , Chronicle of the Tucci scientific mission in western Tibet (1933) , Rome, Accademia d'Italia, 1934. Specialist Notes

Lot of first editions dedicated to exploration in the Himalayas. The first work is dedicated to the Duke of Abruzzi which contains the account of the expedition which took place between 1913 and 1914 under the guidance of the physiologist Filippo De Filippi (Turin, 1869-1938), professor at the University of Bologna, who & nbsp; in the past he had already taken part in the explorations of the Duke of Abruzzi in Alaska at Monte Sant'Elia in 1897 and at K2 in 1909. & nbsp;
