First edition of this treatise which is divided into 5 days set in the court of Alfonso d'Este, Duke of Ferrara. Each day is dedicated to a particular theme of aristocratic life: beauty, human love, honor, nobility, wealth. The work met with considerable success and some reprints and received the appreciation of many writers, including Maffei and Tasso.
