Bearded specimen on grave paper, beautiful figured front door with portrait of Vespucci making nautical surveys by Menabuoni, a woodcut illustration of an astronomical nature with the world in the center of the celestial sphere, a genealogical table of the Vespucci family folded several times at the end, vignette on the frontispiece, coeval rusticated hardcover binding with handwritten title on the spine and ancient signature. Numerous small perspective and optical engravings applied to the counterplates, eight words censored in pen on page XXXIX.

First edition of this study on the life of Amerigo Vespucci by the Abbot Bandini (Florence, 1726 - Fiesole, 1803). Of crucial importance for subsequent studies on the explorer, in the work the author traces the life of Vespucci, the reports of the four journeys, finally reports the letters sent to Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de Medici, including & nbsp; the account of Vasco de Gama's journey.
