Luigi Mozzi de Capitani (Bergamo 1746-Oreno 1813) teologo gesuita e fervente antigiansenista, fu Arciprete della cattedrale di Bergamo, prefetto dell’Oratorio del Caravita a Roma e scrittore prolifico.Si impegnò nella realizzazione di un’attività educativa rivolta ai giovani e poi anche alle ragazze professando una religione semplice e devozionale. Fondò confraternite per i giovani seguendo il modello gesuitico tradizionale e istituì nel 1796 una scuola serale, forse la prima in Europa, per coloro che ne necessitavano.
