Work of the writer and historian Ciro Spontone (Bologna, about 1552 - about 1610) who held important positions in the most prestigious courts of northern Italy, was Secretary of the Senate of Bologna and later Governor of Rovigo. & nbsp; Metoposcopy deals with the art already practiced in ancient times by the Greeks and Romans of drawing horoscopes from the wrinkles of the forehead. The Author illustrates the singular theory that the lines of the forehead, different in all individuals, clearly reveal "past and present things, but those still to come". The future can be predicted from the correct interpretation of each human front line and the specific planet it corresponds to. The engravings in the text illustrate the different characteristics of forehead wrinkles in different human typologies.
