Information

Bulino, c.ca 1514, monogrammed in the plate at the bottom center, IV / IV, final state, after the addition above the monogram of the inscription "Raphael pinxit in vaticano", mm. 350 x 459, tapering to the right, the central vertical fold visible.
Excellent proof from a work by Raphael. The differences with Raphael's fresco preserved in the Segnature room in the Vatican show that Raimondi refers to the preparatory drawing of the painting (Delaborde p.156 and Bartsch, edition 1813, p.200). "[...] elle (the press) is une des plus belles que Marc-Antoine ait gravèes, et de la plus grande rèputation". (Bartsch p.200). Bartsch XIV, 200,247; Delaborde, Paris, p.156, n.110.
