Handwritten guard card on the front, ex libris on the reverse. Signature of possession on the title page. & Nbsp;

& nbsp; Tommaso Garzoni (1549-1589) proposes an erudite and satirical work structured in 16 books that describes ignorance, its various expressions and the effects of ignorance on society. In particular, there is a polemical vein against the scholar Giusto Giuseppe Scaligero and the writers Ortensio Lando, Anton Francesco Doni, Agrippa di Nettesheim.
