Typographical mark on the title page, booklet 2 [cross] 2 placed at the end, initials and friezes engraved in wood, woodworm holes, more intense on the last pages, slight water gore at the lower outer margin, coeval parchment binding, some holes of woodworm to the plates, small halo to the front plate. Handwritten guard card on the front, ex libris on the reverse. Signature of possession on the title page. & Nbsp;


Specialist Notes

& nbsp; Tommaso Garzoni (1549-1589) proposes an erudite and satirical work structured in 16 books that describes ignorance, its various expressions and the effects of ignorance on society. In particular, there is a polemical vein against the scholar Giusto Giuseppe Scaligero and the writers Ortensio Lando, Anton Francesco Doni, Agrippa di Nettesheim.
