Paris, Aubert & amp; Cie, sec. XIX, (330 x 235 mm). With 20 engraved and finely watercoloured plates, executed on the drawings of Compte Calix, some stains on the margins and blooms, green canvas binding with the word “Album” imprinted in gold on the front plate, worn and with spots.

Specialist Notes

Interesting album with the beautiful plates designed by Compte Calix and engraved on steel by Varin, Préval, Pelée, Ramus, Montaut d'Oléron, Girardet, Rebel, and others. The subjects depicted are men and women who wear traditional costumes from their countries of origin, including Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Algeria, Tunisia.
