Milan, Ulrico Hoepli, 1878. 5.5 x 4 cm. Portrait of Dante in the front door, frontispiece in red and black ink, red fabric marker tape, first and last cards with very slight browning, marbled guard cards, red Moroccan binding, gold-embossed friezes on the plates, author, title and gold friezes on the back with 4 nerves, decorated lips and internal dentelles , slight abrasions and traces of use at the back and hinges.
Specialist Notes
Copy of the 1000 copies in the second edition of the first edition. Ulrico Hoepli has published this edition by purchasing the sheets of the "Dantino" made by the Salmin Brothers and publishing a second edition with his own typographical data on the title page.
