Specialist Notes

First edition of this fundamental work for the history of the Church, and which constitutes a sort of ceremonial of the sacred liturgies. The work is attributed to the pontifical master of ceremonies A. Patrizi (see Melzi II, page 470) who would have composed it since 1488, but the compilation remained unpublished until 1516, when Cristoforo Marcello published it, dedicating it to Leo X, and making some changes.
