With an engraving depicting the crucifixion and scenes from the life of Christ, figured incipitary initial, gothic text on two columns, gaps in the title page and upper margin of the following 3 cards, light browning, light scattered blooms, some small halo, woodworm work the last 3 cards, restoration to q3, missing the last white card, coeval binding in hardcover with manuscript author on the spine, slight halos, small gap in the spine. Handwritten notations on the title page and on the counterplate.

Michele Savonarola, & nbsp; (Padua, 1385 - Ferrara, 1468), physician of the Este family of Ferrara, was one of the most important scientists of the 15th century and grandfather of the famous friar Girolamo Savonarola. In this work he investigates the relationship between diet and health, describing the healing properties of food.
