Specialist Notes
First edition in Italian. Important report on the Alpine and Swiss regions by the patriot and scholar from Messina who later became Minister of Education in the early years of the Kingdom. The plates are engraved by Wallis, Cousen and others from drawings by Bartlett, the great master of 19th century landscape depiction.
