Specialist Notes

FIRST WORK: First edition written by the French abbot and scholar Claude-Pierre Goujet (1697-1767). A Jesuit pupil, in the course of his life he became a convinced Jansenist and for this reason he faced many difficulties and some of his works were banned under the suggestion of the "enemies" of the Society of Jesus.
